Standard Shinai with Octagonal Grip – HAKKAKU

The HAKKAKU is a high-quality standard Shinai featuring an octagonal grip designed to provide a more secure hold and a clearer sense of blade alignment.

The shape of the Tsuka helps the hands naturally recognise the orientation of the Shinai, allowing more precise control during techniques such as Suriage, Harai and other Shikake-waza or Oji-waza. Its balance, with the centre of gravity positioned relatively close to the Tsuka, also contributes to smooth and responsive handling.

Made in Japan, each Shinai is carefully assembled using selected bamboo slats and leather components, then individually adjusted by hand.
