The Premium Kiri Bokuto (Daito) is an exceptionally lightweight Bokuto handcrafted in Japan from carefully selected Kiri (Paulownia) wood.
Designed primarily for Kihon with Bokuto and Nihon Kendo no Kata, its very low weight allows precise, controlled movements and makes it particularly suitable for practitioners who wish to focus on cutting form, blade alignment and Ki Ken Tai.
The Bokuto features traditional Kendo characteristics including a Shokissaki tip, Hiramine blade profile, Kyo-zori curvature and rounded Hanmaru handle. As Kiri is considerably softer and lighter than woods commonly used for Bokuto, this model is not recommended for intensive contact practice.
